The Melanated Skin Registry ("MSR," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to provide, primarily when you submit an application, inquiry, or sign up for updates. This may include your name, email address, business or studio name, location, links to your website and social profiles, professional credentials, and anything you write in your application or message.

If you create a paid membership or make a purchase, payment details are collected and processed by our third-party payment providers — we do not store your full card information ourselves.

How we use your information

To review applications and inquiries and decide on listing or feature eligibility.
To contact you about your application, membership, purchase, or feature.
To build and display approved listings and editorial features on the Registry.
To send updates you've requested, and to operate and improve the Registry.

How your information is stored and shared

Application and inquiry data is submitted through a secure form and stored in our records (currently a Google Workspace spreadsheet). We use trusted third-party services to run the Registry, and your information may be processed by them solely to provide their service to us. These may include providers for forms and storage, website hosting, membership management, and payment processing.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers described above, or where required by law.

Cookies & analytics

The Registry may use cookies or similar technologies from our hosting and any analytics or membership tools to keep the site working and understand general usage. [If you add analytics such as Google Analytics, describe it here and link any cookie settings.]

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing us. You can unsubscribe from updates at any time using the link in our emails. The Registry is intended for professionals and adults seeking professional care. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
